Since the late 80s of last century Yan Jiayan's proposition of studying and paying close attention to"modern Chinese writers and Wu Yue's Culture"has enabled a growing number of critics to concern about the relationship between local culture and literature. The culture of southern Shantung, as a regional culture, has a long history and profound culture which nourish the southern tip of Zaozhuang in Shandong province and cultivate generations of great writers of Zaozhuang. Meanwhile, writers in Zaozhuang are building their own rich culture of southern Shantung according to their creative practice. But all of these days, few people studies"The culture of southern Shantung and contemporary writers in Zaozhuang", so I hope through this research this paper can attract people's attention to"The culture of southern Shantung and contemporary writers in Zaozhuang". In addition, by analyzing the creative defects of writers in Zaozhuang, I hope the paper can enable writers in Zaozhuang to reflect their own creative practice in order to create more weighty literature.This paper makes research from the perspective of the relationship between the culture of southern Shantung and contemporary writers in Zaozhuang. The thesis contains three chapters.Chapter One states the culture of southern Shantung. This chapter is divided into three sections. The proposition of the concept of the culture of southern Shantung is based on particular historical and geographical surroundings of the region of southern Shantung. Section I discusses the profound culture of southern Shantung from three aspects: one is the long history of Shantung culture; two is the main body of Shantung traditional culture——Confucian culture; three is the circle of traditional culture. Section II is about the revolutionary culture of Southern Shantung. Southern Shantung has a large number of literary scholars and countless heroes. This section includes three respects: brave people in Southern Shantung; heroical Shantung people; unyielding spirit of Southern Shantung. Section III discusses the amalgamation of the compound culture of southern Shantung. In addition to the traditional culture and revolutionary culture, the canal culture of southern Shantung is an important factor.Chapter Two is on the impact of Shantung culture on contemporary writers in Zaozhuang. Section I states the definition of contemporary writers in Zaozhuang. It refers to the lives of creative vision of the two main types of income writers, that is, local writers and guest writers in Zaozhuang. Section II discusses the positive effect of Shantung culture on the contemporary writers in Zaozhuang. They are nostalgic complex, mission complex and realistic complex. Section III analyzes the passive effect of Shantung culture on the contemporary writers in Zaozhuang. The contemporary writers in Zaozhuang inevitably embodies a negative culture gene of Shantung culture, which in some extent restrain their pace and courage. This section is discussed from three aspects: creating vision, writing content and writing connotation.Chapter Three expounds the regurgitation-feeding effect of contemporary writers in Zaozhuang on the culture of southern Shantung. This chapter falls into two sections. The first section is about the creating achievements of contemporary writers in Zaozhuang. The literature of contemporary writers in Zaozhuang root deeply in the ground of Shantung where records the living condition of people in Shantung. The contemporary writers in Zaozhuang have proven their existing value by their creating achievements. The second section demonstrates regurgitation-feeding effect of contemporary writers in Zaozhuang on the culture of southern Shantung from the aspects of literature subject matter, local dialect, folk songs and customs, etc.
