With the deepening of aging population degree, providing-for-the-aged problem emerges gradually. For the transformation of society and government function, subdistrict office becomes the main community public service provider. To the aging community, with large elderly population but exceeding deficient in public resource, the contradiction of providing-for-the-aged public service between supply and demand is especially outstanding. The thesis makes the study of providing-for-the-aged public service in the aging community.With the reference of relevance research results, the thesis is based on the theory of Public Goods, New Public Service and Polycentric Governance, and the research methods are literature study, theoretical analysis and case analysis. First, expound the meaning of aging community and providing-for-the-aged public service in community, and then list the providing-for-the-aged public service experiences of developed countries.Taking Ganquan for example, make analysis to its situation of aging population, providing-for-the-aged public service and the developing trends. In accordance with the actual situation of Ganquan, put forward "one circle, three centers, eight service point" as the providing-for-the-aged public service pattern, and then make concentrate research to the projects, meal supply for the aged and care mechanism for elderly.The final, analyze problems and put forward policy suggestion, at the angle of government position, role of social forces, atmosphere building. Improve government efficiency, expand service supply channels, and construct the system of community providing-for-the-aged public service led by the government, supplemented by social forces and participating with the whole society.
