Research On The Application Of Somatological Technology Courseware In Table Tennis Teaching In Primary School

The table tennis courseware using the motion sensing technology adopts the advanced andscientiifc computer software systems which first catch student players’ technical movements bythe "Windows For Kinect”3D camera and then present players’ body’ limbs and joints in the formof lines, dots and at the same time display their technique practices of movement traces in vitrualsituations with computers. In conventional table tennis teaching, the students’ interest in learningis relatively low and they feel just so so about this regular teaching. In order to enhance students’understanding of the table tennis and develop their interest, it is of good necessity to promote themotion sensing technology in teaching table tennis.In the study, the writer uses documentation method, survey method test method,mathematical statistics method and some other scientific research method to investigate, teach andtest among20students who take table tennis course as an elective one in Shanghai ExperimentalSchool. To make sure the motion sensing teaching can go smoothly, the investigator make surveyson the students and their PE teachers about their cognitions, satisfaction and interest in regulartable tennis courses.Based on the surveys and test data, the author illustrates the effect of the motion senseteaching objectively to give reference to some pirmary schools who are featured in table tenniscourse. The writer also puts forward some feasible suggestions for the courseware optimization aswell as provides theoretical bases for the promotion of this new mode of teaching. The main studyconclusions are as follows:1.Students feel just so so about the regular table tennis courses in general. Bothteachers and students have a good understanding of the motion sensing teaching intable tennis from the aspects in its advantages and features. They show greatidentification with it.2.The motion sensing teaching is beneficial to ability improvements in the forehandattack, forehand stroke, backhand block and backhand chop batting. However, itinfluences little in the backhand block hit and backhand chop movement.3.The motion sensing course can stimulates students’ interest in learning table tennis,focus their attentions, make them feel delighted and develop their abilities to exploreand innovate.4.The exercise practices in the courseware have remarkable impacts on students. Theycan enhance their understandings about table tennis and improve their studyeiffciencies.5.Compared with regular table tennis courses.students are more satisfied with motionsensing ones, especially in the aspects of their learning interests and satisfactionstowards teaching.
