Based on in-depth study of gaming experiences, this paper engages inresearching on players’ experience in the gaming space and emotion release in3Dmotion sensing games, which intends to testify and improve the related theory so as toincrease and better the practical innovation in traditional interactive gameproductions.Compared with the traditional game, the advantages of3D motionsensing games are the adoption of stereo images and innovation in its interaction. It isa kind of interactive game that needs whole body’s participation, because players haveto control the game through the changes of body movements. So the thesis willdiscuss the experience of the gamers in gaming space constructed and the players’emotion release in games. This paper is based on the related theories of Merleau Ponty’s phenomenology ofperception. Merleau Ponty transformed the concept of “life world” into “perceptionworld”. Therefore, in the second chapter I began writing from the philosophicalconcept of space. Through the analysis of the role of body in gamers’ experiencespace constructed, especially after the study of emotion being shaped in the space ofarchitecture, film and traditional games, I summarize the process of emotiondischarged in the experience space.Furthermore, I analyze the important role of stereo images and free motioncontrol to establish the experience space in games, based on which I try to explore thecharacteristics of experience space. Begin with perceptual socialist, existence feelingtheory and the theory of defamiliarization, I make a detailed analysis whichdemonstrates that3D motion sensing gaming experience space has characteristics likeauthenticity, presence, coexist of reality and virtual, defamiliarization experience.Withthe analysis above, this paper takes a further look at the process of emotions in3Dmotion sensing games from the relationship between the body and emotions. By usingthe foreign emotional measurement method, the author designed a detailed experimentscheme in view of the player’s emotional characteristics. Combined with subjectivequestionnaire and objective data of physiological activation,I tested the influence ofemotion discharge in the game, which is caused by display and control method. Theexperimental results show that in the space formed by motion sensing games, playerswill enter a more present, more free, more immersed state, in which players’ pleasure, arousal and dominance changed greatly, and could make a full discharge of emotion.
