With the development of city, a large number of rural children flow to the city,09 years statistics, with the parents to city life study of migrant children reached about 1000000. The existence of a large number of migrant children attrct people,esspecialy their study and live. The current study for migrant children in city are mainly concentrated in the field of psychology and sociology, sociological perspective focused on migrant children in city of education and city social adaptation, psychological perspective mainly through psychological scale of city flow behavior of children and psychological measurement, and then the floating children city adapts to research. However, social work on social city migrant children adapt to the research in this field is seldom. Therefore, I want to try my bust to know their situation and can help these children.In this study, a school for children of migrant workers Xi’an students as the research object, through to the school in four or five, the sixth grade students conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews, from the perspective of social work in cognitive and social cultural adaptation of three aspects of social adaptation of migrant children in city to analyze the situation,find these children can better adapt to the city society, then some problems in interpersonal relationships; in cognitive aspects, migrant children in city have higher self-evaluation, but there are some problems in the emotional cognition. In view of this situation, finding the factors affecting their adapted throug the questionnaire and interviews.Finally throng the working group and professional social work,through the design of five group activities and supplemented in case counseling, improve the emotion recognition ability of floating children in city and bad emotion processing ability, learning and interpersonal skills, and better adapt to the city society.
