In recent years, education is regarded as the important position of priority development by all countries. Education reform is the important strategic choice for countries to participate in world competition. The mother tongue education, as a kind of inheritance and carry forward the national excellent culture, has an irreplaceable role in the process of development and creation of the human culture, and to a certain extent, determines the national education success. There is no denying the fact that the native language curriculum standard, as a kind of normative documents in a certain historical period of mother tongue education’s development, guides the development of our national language education and the inheritance of the excellent cultural. At the same time, the mother tongue course is also an important foundation for learning other courses. The recent mother tongue education reform in China published in 2001, called The full-time compulsory education Chinese course standard (experiment draft). On this basis, experiencing 10 years of full-time compulsory education reform experiment, after summing up, the ministry of education formally announced the compulsory education Chinese curriculum standards (2011 edition) in 2011. The new language curriculum standard will promote the further strengthening of primary school Chinese curriculum and teaching in China.Under the background of globalization, its reform and development of The mother tongue education don’t bring better situation, we need to continue to summarize the experiences of other nationalities language curriculum reform, and combined with its own characteristics to walk among the forefront of education in the world. This article will comparatively analyze the current native language curriculum standard between China and New Zealand.The current language course standard in China is The Compulsory Education Chinese Curriculum Standards (2011 Edition), and the current native language curriculum standard in New Zealand is The New Zealand Curriculum Standard, published in 2007 and acted in 2009 called The New Zealand Curriculum Reading and Writing Standards for years 1-8. Mainly adopting comparative literature method, text analysis and comparison, this paper introduces the backgrounds of the two language curriculum standard. It compares the target and contents of reading & writing standards and evaluation Suggestions. we found that the New Zealand pays great attention to reading and writing, paying attention to the development of students’ thinking and creation ability, requesting the student to study to prepare for the future career. Through the analysis of the similarities and differences of the two countries, we can more understand the lack of Chinese language curriculum standard, in order to provide reference for mother tongue curriculum reform in China.This article includes two parts, the introduction and the text.
