Since the Wimbledon Championships opened the prelude of modern tennis at the end of the 19th century, tennis has been attracting more and more participants by its unique charm. The level of competitive tennis become higher and higher, and every skill has been becoming perfect. Nowadays bottom-line oriented playing style has become mainstream. In order to explore whether volley tennis skill at the net has the irreplaceable position in the match, and to explore whether volley skill is a powerful means of attack and scoring in the competition of the athletes, the thesis uses methods of literature, video observation, mathematical statistics, logical analysis, comparative study, interview and so on. The thesis regards volleying of players in tennis ATP year-end finals in 2015 as the research object, a statistical analysis of eight tennis players in the game in the use of volley tennis skill was made.The following findings:(1) The control of the front area of the net has a great influence on the outcome of the competition. The net technology score holds a large proportion in the total score in the game, and it is an important game that can’t be ignored. According to data, the net score of eight athletes accounted for 12.7%, which shows that the net area of the score has an important role in the game; Scoring rate in front of the net is 69.3%, which shows that the efficiency of the front area of the net is especially high, and it is an important area for the success of the competition. No matter the proportion of the front area of net or the scoring rate, they all fully proved the tennis net control area has a significant impact on the game.(2) The net technology is the main technology in the application of front net technology. According to data, the ratio of volleying was 74.5%, the net scoring rate is 57.1%. In the application of net technology in tennis match, the higher the ratio of volleying is, the higher the scoring rate. Therefore, interception technology at net in tennis match is the preferred means of attack.(3) In the intercept path selection, the data show linear, diagonal, middle score accounted for 19.5%,71.3% and 9.2%, respectively; losing accounted for respectively 35.1%,49.4% and 15.6%, illustrate the slash and linear volley at the net the main choice of routes.(4) In the interception score grasp shoot way backhand accounted for separately for 33.6% and 66.4%; losing accounted for 40.3% and 59.7%, indicating that the volley athletes shoo take way more likely to grasp backhand shot.(5) From the point of the volley scoring area, and through the division of the site, it can be concluded:interception technology is more suitable for the net use. From the view of volley score accounting, The net, the midfield and the bottom line of volley score of eight players accounted for 93.8%,6.2%,0% respectively. Athletes in the volley scored highest, midfielder was low, and the eight players did not use interception technology in the bottom-line.From the score rate of volleying, the score rate of the net was also the highest. Therefore, the tennis interception technology plays an important role in the game, and is the most suitable for the application of net area.
