2017 ATP Year-End Finals Singles Technical And Tactical Analysis

The ATP year-end finals represent the highest level of men's tennis as the highest ranked event in the world.Previous studies on the year-end finals are less,mainly concentrated in two aspects,on the one hand is the year-end finals before 2007 research,on the other hand is a part of the year-end finals research.Therefore,with the methods of literature review and video observation,this paper takes 9 world elite men's singles players in the 2017 ATP year-end finals as the objects of investigation and analyzes their techniques and tactics.The conclusions are as follows:1.From the perspective of the common characteristics of service points: the first serve in the left or right area is the least in the middle,which indicates that the first serve is mainly used to mobilize the opponent from a large Angle and compress the opponent's reaction time.The three angles of the second serve are evenly distributed,which makes it difficult for the opponent to guess and increases the difficulty of prediction,so as to inhibit the opponent's attack on his second serve.Personality characteristics of service point: no matter in the left or right zone,the number of sock's first serve and the second serve is the most in the middle.Cilic likes to serve to his opponent's forehand on his first serve,because Cilic is good at forehand and serves to his opponent's forehand,and the opponent also returns the ball to his forehand,which is conducive to enhancing his attack.2.In terms of receiving,most athletes have a backhand reception rate >forehand,but Tim's forehand reception rate is higher than that of backhand,because Tim likes to use the side forehand when standing back.Among them,the backhand usage rate of Dimitrov and Federer is higher than that of other players,indicating that for the one-hand-backhand players,the server will serve the ball to the backhand side more often,so as to create an advantage for his own service.3.In the technical utilization rate,overall: forehand pumping rate > backhand pumping rate > side forehand rate > backhand cutting rate.By comparing the utilization rate of the techniques of the third beat,the fourth beat,the fifth beat andabove five beats,it is found that the utilization rate of the side forehand of the third beat is higher than that of other beats,because the side forehand has a higher offensive nature.The fourth backhand stroke,backhand slice is higher than the other rackets.In particular,the use of one-hand-backhand players backhand slice higher.4.In the service game of points,serve straight is the most important way to score;Unforced errors are the main way to lose points.Comparing the scores of non-critical points,critical points falling behind and key points leading,it is found that the number of ACES,double faults and forced errors when falling behind are less than other points.
