This paper aims at conducting research through investigation on the peculiarity and rules of development of learning motivation, learning strategy and the relationship between them of middle school students. Statistics indicates: among the learning motivation, the higher the grade, the strength of surface motivation shows an upward trend, while deep motivation and achievement motivation show weaker trend. The learning strategy of the middle school students has the similar mode with that of learning motivation. There is significant positive correlation between learning motivation and learning strategy of the middle school students. Generally speaking, the low level motivation usually employs some inactive learning strategy while high level motivation often employs some active learning strategy. Farther, particularities of learning motivation and learning strategy are influenced by types of schools. The difference of 2 learning motivation between students of poor school with that of ordinary school is mainly in the field of deep motivation and achievement motivation. The difference of learning strategy is reflected in achievement strategy. The learning motivation of poor school students has significant correlation with learning strategy. In that the higher the motivation level, the higher of the ability to employ strategy. In the course of biological teaching, the training on the student抯 learning strategy is helpful to the promotion of their level of learning motivation, especially the promotion of achievement motivation level. Farther, it has some positive effects in preventing the unhealthy trend in the development of student抯 learning motivation.
