Instructional design is a kind of procedure to analyze teaching problems and make teaching objectives with systematic method, to set up instructional strategy, to simulate the method of solving problems and modify the instructional systems based on assessment of the trial result.Instructional design is a bridge to transfer from teaching theory to teaching practice, which is a technology that teachers have to master. It is an important problem of physics education study how to combine the ordinary teaching theory and technology with the characteristics of physics course. This thesis is guided by the modern education theory on "basing on human being, developing independently". Starting from the general program and principle of instructional design and applying system and control theory, go over the present physics instructional design in the flowing seven items: learning-task analysis, books content analysis, learner characteristics analysis, making teaching purpose, determination instructional strategy, media selection and operation, assessing performance, all of which show some phenomena that the past instructional design paid attention to the teachers mind and neglected students, not getting harmonious between teacher and students. When the general principle and technology of instructional design are used in physics teaching we must combine the characteristics of physics in middle school, completely dig and utilize the psychology resource of students, grasp and obey the psychology principle of students and satisfy the psychology need of students. We must appreciate not only teaching method but also learning method in physics instructional design, according to psychology need of students and characteristics of physics. Therefore, create excellent study environment for students in order to make students feel the happiness of learning by self-learning and self-development.
