One of the problems in teacher education of our country is the division o.f theory and practice, which results in the less adaptive initial teachers lacking the ability of practice, which directly affects the quality of our teachers and educations of various levels. The mode of school-based initial teacher training has been currently putting into effect in England, The most outstanding characteristic of it is to pay more attention to the role of school in teacher education and to train teachers through the partnership between higher education institute and school. The purpose of it is to train the teachers to have strong teaching abilities and better adaptivity. The model of school-based teacher training in England provides us with inspirations for the existing problems in our teacher education.The main purpose of the paper is to systematically analyze and research the model of school-based teacher training which is completely different from the model of teacher education in our country. The paper will explore the conditions and specialty of the model in England from the perspectives of politics, economy, culture and education in order to give us some inspirations and ways for our teacher education reform.The paper analyzes and explains the model of teacher education in England from the view of policy, including the background material, the relevant policies, the mechanism of the operation and the effectiveness of implementation. By reflecting on the model of teacher education in our country, I finally put forward my own views and advice for the current reform of teacher education in our country.
