Occupation is a social role that people maintain individual and there families existing. Because of various reasons, people want to changes there occupations. Then, occupational mobility has emerged. In Chinese society about 30 great changes, China has had the massive social motilities. Certainly, there are many aspects in social mobility. For instance, culture, authority, capital and so on. But the occupational structure change is the most directly thing that manifests the constitutive social mobility. The occupational mobility is an important aspect in the social mobility. Through the research of the occupation mobility, we can take a view of the social mobility. Then, how is the mechanism of occupational mobility in current China? What are the new characteristics compare with the last century's? What are the factors about influencing Occupational mobility? How can establish a harmonious Occupational mobility mechanism for a reasonable and healthy social mobility? These are the questions which this article needs to elaborate.This paper consists of six parts. The first part is introduction. It describes the reasons and meaning of this thesis. Occupational mobility studies are an entry point for social mobility. Sociological research of the fundamental purpose of occupational mobility is to form a reasonable mechanism for occupational mobility and promote the improvement of the level of occupational mobility about members of society. Then it makes a theoretically summary of previous researches to probe deeply into the research situation of earlier on the problem, so that lays the foundation for further research of the thesis.The second part is a description about the present situation of occupational mobility in current China. This is a foundation of the analysis. Firstly, for ease of this article elaboration, this paper explains the concept of occupation and occupational mobility. Then, it elaborates the basic situation from the basic situation, the characteristic and reflected the question. As a result of the market economy development, the rate of occupational mobility has increased. The pro-high-level trend in occupational structure in China is speeding up now. The occupational mobility shows many features, such as region differences, Gender differences, and age differences and so on. At the same time, there has also reflected many questions in the occupational mobility process. The unemployment increase causes the occupational mobility to stagnate, even down-flow; The unreasonable occupational mobility also initiated the society unequally; The occupational mobility during social strata appeared the polarization; The youth community flowing frequency excessively is high, and they change jobs usually frequently; The social capital factor is highly connected with the occupational mobility, the function of human capital factor has not yet completely displayed.The third part is the rule and general process of occupational mobility in current China. The obtained rule is the current mechanism for the rules of occupational mobility. And the process analyses the people who has ability to choose the occupational mobility. This process has six steps. Clear about the occupational mobility the direction and the request. Choose the new unit. Grasp information about the new unit ail-roundly. Analysis occupational mobility feasibility. Balance the advantages and disadvantages between flowing and maintaining the present situation. Finally flows officially.The fourth part is to analysis factors about influencing occupational mobility, which also the key point in full of this paper. The first is the social factors, including technical development, adjustment in industrial structure, changes of social life and so on. The second is the individual factors. They are individual human capitals and the social capitals. The human capitals are the congenital and obtained after efforts, which restrict the direction, speed and the success probability of occupational mobility. In the Chinese national conditions, holding the social capital affects the occupational mobility result directly. The third is institutional factors. Our country is being in the transition period and the old system still had greatly strengthened function. Therefore, the workers in the occupational mobile process, inevitably meet the institution barriers, for instance, household system, social security systems, dossier control system as well as the employment system. These barriers are hindering the occupational mobility production to varying degrees.The fifth part mostly fixes on how to improve a mechanism of occupational mobility which aims to develop a fair and harmonious occupational mobility in China. There are five measures. The first one is to develop the social economy vigorously, expand employment space and increase position quantities. The second one is to eliminate institutional factors which cause unequal questions in Occupational Mobility process. The third one is to reform work human affairs employment system and promote the employment. The fourth one is to cultivate labor market and develop market-oriented Occupational Mobility. The fifth one is to improve the worker's quality comprehensively, establish a scientific Occupational value, adjust attitude and chooses the appropriate occupational mobility.The last part is the summary. It proposes some questions which are worthy to concern. Furthermore, the paper hopes that the occupational mobility in our country would develop to the modernization and establish a more fairly, reasonable and open mechanism of occupational mobility.
