The object of the paper is "3 +3" teacher education model created by Shanghai Normal University. The model intends to cultivate "integrated application" teachers for the basic education in Shanghai.The first chapter states the importance to the teaching and scientific reseaarch by cultivating "integrated application" teachers in the primary and secondary education teacher training. The second chapter clarifies the concept and the model relevant to the model and then distinguishes the domestic and foreign concept from the concept of "integrated talent" and "dual-teacher" , and then defines the definition of "composite application" teacher. It also clarifies the"4+2"and"4+1+2"model created by domestic normal universities and"4+1"model created by foreign countries. The chapter compares the cultivating stratigies and discusses the basis for the birth of different teacher education models, and clarifies the difference among different teacher cultivating models of "integrated application", "research"teachers and "single type".The next chapter explains the training objectives, organizational structure, curriculum, mentoring and so on in "3 +3" teacher education model. Then it carries out a multi-dimensional analysis by drawing on advanced foreign experience in the teacher education model and shows the advantage of the design and the prospect of the"3+3"teacher education model.The last chaper focuses on theory to guide teachers, practical guidance to teachers and students interviews. It points out the inperfections the "3 +3" model , and puts forward some suggestions to solve the problems: clarify and enrich the training objectives, improve the curriculum effectiveness, and improve the "dual-teacher" system.
