In this thesis the software analysis, testing and reliability modeling of the FMC executive software for ATE8000-1 are presented. In the process of software testing, the control flow analysis is applied to discover the hierarchical flow of the module procedures, by which the structural validity of this software is proved. According to some distinct character of the software, the dynamic testing model that defines the test content and test environment is designed. And the software failure data is collected in the process of software testing simulation, which is realized by using the IBM PC assembly language to execute the test on PC.In the process of software reliability analysis, the combined reliability model is presented, which can improve the suitability of the reliability models to the engineering failure data. The three components of the combined model are selected by the performance analysis of eight classical reliability models. According to different combination methods, three types of models, that is MLC, ELC and ULC, are given. The combined model is shown to successfully counteract the predicting bias of the component models, and effectively enhanced the predicting precision. By the reliability analysis of the simulative failure data, the superiority of the combined model is confirmed. The maximum likelihood parameter estimation is carried out by the improved algorithm of Newton-Raphson and Neld & Mead algorithm, which is proved to have better performance of stabilization and convergence.
