Borehole inclinometer is a kind of safety monitoring instruments in geotechnical engineering. From the monitoring curve of inclinometer can not only visually determine the location of slip surface, but also can acquire the deformation direction, strain rate and other parameters by calculating, in this way we can master the dynamics of rock deformation. Borehole inclinometer has become an effective method for monitoring the deformation of deep rock mass, and the application of inclinometers has been paid great attention all over the world at present.This dissertation presents a thorough study of borehole inclinometer.It first briefly introduce the principle and instrument systems of borehole inclinometer, Combined with the specific model, this article analyzes and presents the reasonable application way and the calculating method of the typical monitoring results; careful analysis is applied in the device features and all the tache of the borehole inclinometer to point out the error in data and probe the assessment and correcting method for the corresponding data. Taking Microsoft Access as system database, VB.NET and C# as programming language, we developed a set of inclinometer data processing software based on requirement analysis on data process software of inclinometer and integrated drive electronics of Visual Studio 2005. The function and using methods of the software were introduced and described. Finally analyses were made on practical engineering examples to study the monitoring results and several typical results of the curve were outlined.(1) A brief introduction on the basic principle of borehole inclinometer applied in safety monitoring at present was given here in and then taking the specific type as example, it present the instrument systems of borehole inclinometer and expounded fundamentals of several main borehole inclinometer sensors. (2) Outline the general process of inclinometer accessing the tube installation and observating data, Facing against the current problems in use of inclinometer, the paper points out some notices over the phases and procedures. Combined with usual monitoring results and calculating formula, we discuss the statistical methods in data analysis; careful analysis is applied in the device features and all the phases and procedures of the borehole inclinometer to point out the error in data and probe the assessment and correcting method for the corresponding data.(3) Based on the studies of data processing algorithm, this paper has put forward the software requirement for data treatment system. According to methodology and procedure of software engineering,we layout basic modules,main functions and database design.Taking advantage of integrated drive electronics of Visual Studio 2005,taking Microsoft Access as system database, VB.NET and C# as programming language,we developed a set of inclinometer data processing software to up to the present habits in china.(4) The features and functions of data treatment system were introduced, together with pictures and texts to show how to configure the software function on engineering.(5) On the basis of a large number of statistic analysis in engineering practice, this paper studied the analytical method of monitoring results and the characteristics from three latitudes: space, time and other factors through the application example of borehole inclinometer in various engineerings, we summed up the typical results curve and studied the causes, factors and interpretation of curve.
