Based on the classic sequence stratigraphy theory with the controlling factors of sea level and the sedimentology, and applying on the seismic, logging and drilling data, this paper summarized the identification and division of the sequence and the depositional systems of the study area, and analyzed the characteristics of sequence interfaces. With the methods of the combination of well and seismic, the comparison profile and so on, the accuracy of sequence stratigraphic correlation is improved, at the same time, the sequence stratigraphic framework of the baoquanling formation is also build. And the baoquanling formation is divided into 5 third-order sequences in the paper.Based on the theory of base-level cycles, the third-order sequence in the baoquanling formation is divided into the stratigraphic base level rising half-cycle and the falling half-cycle again. It is studied to determine the stratigraphic base level half-cycle as the subdivision unit, which is applied to identify and divide the typical logging. Based on it, the identification and division of the subdivision layer unit in study area is carried out, and the subdivision layer sequence stratigraphic framework of the baoquanling formation is also build. And 11 subdivision layers are included in the baoquanling formation.According to the stratigraphic distribution, thickness, thickness variation, lithology, contact relationships, sedimentary environment and phase, the stratum characteristics are researched in this paper. At the same time, based on the single well phase analysis and the profile phase analysis for the exploration well in the baoquanling formation, and combined the logging, logging, core and seismic response characteristics, this paper established the identification of the sedimentary system, analyzed the plane sedimentary facies of each subdivision, and also summarized the Sedimentary evolution.With the combination with the regional tectonic features and the compressive analysis of the basic conditions of the reservoir formation of the selective zone, it is predicted that a lower Baoquanling Formation SQ9up sequence is the favorite exploration target.
