Discussion Of Cancellation Strategy In The Field Of Flight Delay Propagation

At present, flight delay occurs everyday all over the world. Related research on the scheduling and recovery of flight delay has been carried out for a long time. Generally, the research point is put on the modeling of the problem and the innovation of solving method. On the way of modeling, the related model mostly focus on integer programming, and the object function is to minus the cost of fight delay; on the other way of solving method, many mathematics algorithms are adopted, however, because of the complicacy of the problem, we cannot get the globally optimal solution, so many heuristic algorithms, like genetic algorithm, immunity algorithm, simulated annealing, are adopted, moreover, the integration of two or more algorithms is also very common.About the occurrence of large-scale flight delay, one phenomenon which we called delay propagation is more and more popular, when one or several flights delay, more sequential flights will delay for some time, moreover, it has become the main factor of the large-scale flight delay. The research on delay propagation of flight is becoming the hot point in recent years.Based on the summarization of predecessor'works, this dissertation presented the researches primarily as follows:1. Firstly, The work summarize reasons and types of flight delay propagation.2. Comparison among different strategies to relieve the present delay propagation situation, especially the cancelling strategy. Three aspects are talked in the work:the feasibility, the principle, the concrete strategy. Two indexes are set up in the work: index of delay propagation and index of delay cost. Finally, an algorithm of cancelling strategy is proposed, and one example is taken to computed. The algorithm is meaningful of direction when the delay propagation is very serious.
