Hailaer basin is an extension-compressional terrestrial sedimentary basin which locatedin Hulun Buir League, Inner Mongolia. Lower Cretaceous sedimentary formation is primary.Beier depression is one of the largest depressions, lies in the south of the basin. The dissertation mainly deals with sedimentary features in Nantun formation of LowerCretaceous in Beier depression, Hailar basin. Based on the analysis of core, logging andseismic data, results about sedimentary features and facies is acquired. As a result, thesedimentary features, facies types and their distribution of the Beier depression were obtained.Further regularity of the sedimentary facies distribution and the tectonic evolution process ofthe basin were discussed. Secondary structural determined the specific sedimentary faciesbelts. The development and distribution of sand body are constrained by the structural frame. The tectonic activities in Beier depression are complexed. They control the depositionobviously. The exhibition of sand body characteristics can reflect the effect. Through theresearch of the distribution and evolution in Nantun formation, analysis tectonic action in thebasin, set up the corresponding relation of the structure and deposition, to find out therelationship in space distribution and sedimentary characteristics of the sedimentary sandbody. Analysis on the distribution of the structure of reservoirs, summarizes oil and gasexploration area in Beier depression.
