With the development of economical society,potable water source pollution is more serious. Drinking water sources are different from other water source, they have higher water environment function standard,more vulnerable and bigger impact to human beening.Currently,lake drinking water source, reservoir type of drinking water, rivers drinking water and groundwater type of drinking water have been varying degrees pollutioned.The causes of water source pollution were a lot and complex. Pollution controll is difficulty,effective slowly,and the management mode is a lot and scatteredly.The system of water source area's water environmental protection and pollution control have not been formed,there is no package ideas for water source protection.GaoZhou reservoir of Guangdong province appeared Blue-green algal phenomenon in recent years during February-March. In february 2009,GaoZhou reservoir outbreak the first comprehensive Blue-green algal phenomenon.Caused great threat to the security of potable water supply in maoming.GaoZhou reservoir as a important potable water source in Guangdong province, however,as so far, there are little water environmental protection study on it.Studying on pollution systematic control of GaoZhou reservoir is urgent. Started a targeted research in case areas based on the ideas of "Deep water quality analysis→Pollution analysis→Social and Economic analysis, analysis of social survey→Formulating appropriate measures" the results are as follows:(1)Through analysis of the water quality data after using the single factor water quality evaluation method and the comprehensive pollution index method to evaluate GaoZhou reservoir water quality and warehousing river water quality, the conclusion are as follow:GaoZhou reservoir water bad thanⅡclass water quality the whlole year. Three warehousing river water was bad thanⅢclass water quality, TN,TP were the main pollution index (2) After evaluated Gaozhou county reservoir water quality based on comprehensive nutrition state index method,it showed:Comprehensive nutrition state index of the two reservoir is during 30-50 basically belong to moderate nutrition status. And in the last two years, the eutrophication status of gaozhou reservoir turned to be more serious.(3) Through the method of equivalent standard pollution load to evaluate point pollution,non-point pollution of GaoZhou reservoir. The non-point pollution is the key in pollution control, and non-scale livestock keeping is the key in non-point pollution control.(4) Survey results show that:90.11%respondents hope their offspring can go to city life. Nearly 20%of the respondents, think they have no responsible for environmental degradation. Still has about 25%of the people think that protect the ecological environment can not bring anyadvantage. Still have 50%of people don't realized that fruit planting and livestock keeping can pollute the environment of reservoir. Transporting waste out of GaoZhou reservoir area was Most in need,and they hoped the government to do it.(5) The main contradictions in Gaozhou reservoir catchment area are between development status and region function orientation, the compensation standards and farmer expected standards, environmental protection needs and facility backwardness.Properly handling these contradictions of gaozhou reservoir is the key to pollution control。(6) Based on the analysis of the status of the water pollution,pollution sources, regional social-environment contradictious.This studied gave countermeasures in a comprehensive way, from population policy,industrial adjustment and engineering measures.So that to ensure the improvement of water environment and ecological in gaozhou reservoir. And, provided a reference for other potable water source environmental protection.
