In this paper, the design of automatic welding machine is a special welder repair knuckle, the use of CO2 gas welding to the core chip PIC16F877 drive control system. Shenzhen was launched with touch screen controls for the man-machine interface to realize the automatic welding knuckle.This paper mainly include the following elements:(1) Review application status and prospects of the stepper motor is proposed to achieve the purpose of issue.(2) Hard-facing control system of coupler knuckle. System is based on PIC16F877 chip, was charged with the Shenzhen design automation products "SA-7" touch screen to match the communication circuit, can more easily operate the entire welding process. The hardware circuit includes:microcontroller selection, selection and touch screen touch screen RS232-based communications circuits, stepper motor drive circuit.(3) The program design includes the use of MODBUS protocol between the touch screen and the PIC16F877 USART serial communication module program, reversing the motor and speed programming, master-slave I2C bus communication between the microcontroller and automatic welding programming. MPLAB-IDE software using assembly language programming.(4) Of the system hardware and software debugging. By commissioning show that the control system has basically reached the expected requirements of the design:implement a touch screen and control system of effective communication, and the use of touch-screen control knuckle sport surfacing machine gun design.
