From the viewpoint of supramolecular compounds, the template is the guest, between guest and host through the match each other, mutual recognition, mutual assembly, to promote the formation of target products. In this thesis, heterocyclic cation as a template to build a series of targeted ultrahigh regularity has been rapid development of molecular compounds. They are different from the general composite polymer and coordination compounds, showing the many unique properties. Thus, they have a good prospect in magnetic materials, molecular recognition, catalytic and biological activity of many aspects of space.This study has employed six kinds of bivalent cations as organic template, and we have synthesized 14 novel compounds. Firstly, we used 1,6-bis (pyridinium) hexane and ramifications of 1,10-phenanthroline have synthesized four compounds. The compound 1 is an infinite 1D chain; the compound 2 is a trinuclear supramolecular structure; the compound 3 is a tetranuclear supramolecular structure and the compound 4 is 2D network structure. Secondly, we used 1,1'-diethyl-4,4'-bipyridin-ium dibromide and 1,1'-dibutyl-4,4'-bipyridinium dibromide as organic structural direction agents to carry on the molecular assembly, and have synthesized six compounds. The compound 5 and 6 are infinite 1D chain; the compound 7 is a 2D network structure; the compound 8 is the binuclear dimer; the compound 9 is a hexanuclear oligomer; the compound 10 has 1D chain structure; the compound 11 exhibits a two-dimensional cubane-based polypseudorotaxane network. Last, we used 1, 1'-dipentyl-4,4'-bipyridinium dibromide and 1, 1'-diisopentyl-4,4'-bipyridi-nium dibromide to carry on the molecular assembly, and have synthesized three compounds. The compound 12 is a hexanuclear oligomer,13 is a 1D chain structure and the compound 14 possesses 2D chain structure. Meanwhile, we have studied the IR spectrums and the fluorescence spectras of 14 compounds; the compound 14 has been studied by UV-Vis spectrums. The thermal analysis of compounds 4,7,10,11 and 14 have been studied.
