Reasonable pre-forging of metal in the mold design can improve the flow chamber, which allows the metal more easily filled the cavity more easily to avoid folding defects; reducing the die bore the wear and improve forging die life. Based on the way of forging and metal forming characteristics of the flow, proposed the'Preform design based on forging Features'new ideas, focus on the "forging characteristics of" preform for the study design.First, Analysis the forming characteristics of the forging process, forging process design and the key to the knowledge described; Then studied the two major ways of forging deformation - deformation of upsetting and pressed into the metal flow, and long axis and short axis of the metal forgings flow analysis, which means long shaft and short-axis plane deformation by category by axial symmetric deformation; Then studied the characteristics of different sections of metal flow.Second, common'section method'of the pre-forging design of a simple analysis, and its deficiencies; On this basis, a detailed study of the " Preform design based on forging Features " approach and design principles, mainly the overall structure of forgings made from a preform design and volume control criteria, and the forging of local features of the pre-design treatment, including the corner radius, Taper angle, punching the nerve, fork features, structure and work Shoots font forging characteristics of the structure and the creation of the principles of design parameters, and made a feature of the pre-disk gear forging design.Finally, by "forging characteristics" method to verify the design of the Airport box preform practical and reasonable, and apply deform3d results of simulation software to design the forging process simulation. The results show that, the design based forging features of the preform cancompletely fill the cavity, but also improve the uniformity of deformation, metal flow more smooth, streamline distribution is more reasonable, and greatly reduced in the process of forming the final forging force, to reduce forging defects.
