This is the rapid development of nanotechnology with the traditional combination of iron-based alloy material, used in the production conditions into the method of nano SiC powder added to the modified 304 stainless steel were prepared with different contents of SiC nano-powder 304 stainless steel.SiC Nano-powders with different content of 304 stainless steel samples were carried out metallurgical tests, Brinell hardness test, tensile test, impact test, chemical im-mersion test, electrochemical analysis, detection of the stainless steel grain structure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, and discussed the organization of SiC nano-powders on the steel, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance mechanism of action. The results show that:the modified SiC nano-powder enhanced significantly after treatment stainless steel refining, mechanical properties, pitting resistance and resistance to intergranular corrosion have been effectively increased, When contents of SiC nano-powder is 0.1%, the stainless steel elongation and reduction rates were increased by 10.69% and 12.30% hardness, tensile strength and toughness were increased by 6.33%,4.70% and 19.97%, fracture analysis show: results of corrosion test showed that:powder 304 stainless steel with the modified SiC nano-powders can be effectively improved in acid conditions and showed excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion. Polarization curves of 3.5% NaCl and immersion tests showed that: electrode potential of 304 stainless steel with SiC nano-powders increased 68mv, the corrosion current decreases 0.122mA, the corrosion rate reduced by 90.12%. Polarization curves of 6% FeCl3 obtained when the content of nano-powders is 0.03%, the passive region is greater than 304 stainless steel samples (about 153.28mv), pitting potential increased 139.82mv. EDS analysis showed that an enhanced treatment, to reduce segregation of chromium stainless steel, has effectively improved the phenomenon of chromium depleted parts.The strengthening and toughening of nano-powder technology advanced,technology is simple, convenient operation, high added value, can improve the overall performance of stainless steel to reduce energy consumption, can be widely used in the production of castings, and to achieve green production and can be sustainable development.
