The research on NC machining technology for columnar cabin of CFRP is presented by taking the typical cylindrical cabin of CFRP, which shows the analysis of current processing technology, problems in the second machining progress and solutions to the problems for CFRP in this paper.Firstly, after the analysis of enormous processing technology of composited material both domestic and aboard, based on the features of the processing of the cylindrical cabin of a particular CFPR the automatic machining plan related to NC automatic machining is suggested, which results in detailed processing plan for every machining features, establishing the foundation for the automatic processing of the CFC material. Besides, the theoretical analysis of the mechanism for cutting, drilling and grinding is made, laying foundation for the optimizing of the processing parameters for window grinding process, drilling hole process, and grinding hole process. Research on the cutting mechanism and drilling mechanism and grinding mechanism of CFRP in theory angle. Lay a theoretical foundation for optimization of grinding parameter in the window grinding and the hole drilling and grinding.Secondly, the range of the process parameters suitable for the machining of CFRP window is attained through the test of the CFRP plate, and the optimized parameters are used in the 3D model software to make process program for the machining experiment of the Columnar cabin square window of CFRP, realizing the automatic process of the CFRP material and producing the optimized parameters and programs appropriate for the automatic machining of Columnar cabin square window.Lastly, through the feasibility test for the plate of CFRP the holing technology is further studied, in which the range of the process parameters of the grinding and drilling process is obtained, as well as the affects of cutter turn speed, feed speed, feed amount and cutting velocity to the axial force during process. Based on the test result the process parameters are optimized and used in the grinding and drilling process of the Columnar cabin, which produces good pieces. Besides, the analysis of the machining quality under different process methods and cost of the cutter is presented in the paper too.
