This paper aims at studying the object of copper-molybdenum sulfide ore. The process mineralogy of it has been stuied.Combining with production practice, in view of the status of the difficulties of Cu-Mo separation, high-content of copper in molybdenum concentrate, high-content of molybdenum in copper concentrate and low copper,molybdenum recovery, based on the research of the flotation flowsheet and reagents system, the separation condition of Cu-Mo, the process of improving copper,molybdenum recovery and the treatment and reuse of the tailings backwater were investigated.This technology not noly greatly improved the dressing index, fully maked use of mineral resources, reduced the environmental pollution,but also obtained considerably economic benefit.The mineral composition of copper-molybdenum sulfide researched in this paper is relatively complex. More than 40 kinds of minerals are included in there. The mainly useful minerals are molybdenite and chalcopyrite, followed by magnetite and pyrite.The content of gangue is large, mainly including quartz and feldspar, followed by garnet. The target minerals, chalcopyrite and molybdenite, are fine-grained dissemination. There are about 52% molybdenite betweenh 0.025mm and 0.075mm grain grade, the copper mainly distributing in the grain grade of 0.01mm~0.05mm. The minerals have complex paragenetic relationship, a large part being among gangue as inclusions in the form of fine and microfine particles.Fially, the flowsheet with once bulk roughing, once bulk scavenging, and twice Mo-Cu blended concentrate bulks cleaning, triple mixed concentrate separation were adopted at last. When the cintent molybdenum and copper were 0.15%,0.54% in the ore, the indexes were obtained as follows:the grade of molybdenum concentrate was 48.53%, its recovery was 90.96%, it contains 0.50%Cu and 0.54% Fe, the grade of copper concentrate was 19.23%, its recovery was 88.50%, and it contains 0.19% Mo.In addition, the tailings backwater was also studied. The results showed that:the grade of molybdenum concentrate was 45.62%, recovery 88.02%, and contains 0.70%Cu, the grade of copper concentrate was 19.00%, recovery 75.45%, and contains 0.25% Mo, after the tailings water was treatmented with an activator KMG.
