At present, most of the studies on the separation of copper and molybdenum ore concentrate on the separation flotation of copper and molybdenum bulk concentrate, such as the inhibitor of copper-molybdenum separation, reagent removal methods and the process flows, etc. However, there are hardly any researches on the integration of the mixed flotation and the separation flotation. It is significant to make a comprehensive research to confirm the factors that affect the two circuits---mixed flotation of copper and molybdenum and separation flotation of copper and molybdenum, and to find out the optimum technological parameters, in order to improve the qualities of the copper concentrate and molybdenum concentrate.In this paper, the factors that affect the copper and molybdenum flotation behaviors in the two circuits of mixed flotation and separation flotation have been checked by the experiment of artificial mixed ore. And the optimal technical parameters of copper molybdenum separation have been found out. Ultimately the technological process has been further verified and optimized by the experiment of actual ore.The main contents are as follows:1)The best technical parameters of the mixed flotation test of copper and molybdenum are as follows: p H=12(lime system), the dosage of z-200 is 55g/t, the kerosene dosage is 10g/t, the dosage of oil 2 is 10g/t. Cu-Mo mixed concentrate with Cu and Mo grade of 27.55%, 2.74%, and Cu and Mo recovery of 92.83%, 92.09% is obtained.2)The UV spectra shows that z-200 has the maximum absorption peak at the wavelength of 241 nm, the presences of kerosene and oil 2 have little interference on the z-200 measurement. There is no interaction between lime and z-200, and the absorbances of z-200 and lime exhibite good additive property at the wavelength of 241 nm.3)Residual reagent measurement experiment of mixed concentrate shows that the residual amount of reagent of mixed concentrate is about 10% of the amount added.4)Copper and molybdenum separation test shows that activated carbon can be used to clean the residual reagents in mixed concentrate, the optimal separation conditions for the separation of the mixed concentrate after treated by activated carbon are as follows: pH=10, the dosage of sodium thioglycollate is 4kg/t(mix concentrate)and the dosage of kerosene is 100g/t(mix concentrate), the dosage of oil 2 is 50g/t(mix concentrate), after 6 times of the selected test, Mo concentrate with Mo and Cu grade of 48.34%, 0.49% is obtained. The optimal separation conditions for the separation of the mixed concentrate after treated by sodium sulfide are as following, pH=12, the dosage of sodium thioglycollate is 2kg/t(mix concentrate)and the dosage of kerosene is 50g/t(mix concentrate), the dosage of oil 2 is 25g/t(mix concentrate), after 2 times of the selected test, the Mo concentrate with Mo and Cu grade of 51.90 %, 0.45 % is obtained.5)Flotation verification test of actual ore : the Cu grade of the actual ore is 0.77%, the Mo grade of the actual ore is 0.010%. Reference to the process parameters of the artificial mixed ore, the actual ore flotation test was carried out. And the results of actual ore flotation test confirm the reliability of flotation separation technological parameters of artificial mixed minerals.
