The mostly widely used anode in zincmetallurgy industry is Pb-Agalloy anodes. Such anodes can meet the needs of the production process. However, Pb-Agalloy has its unchanged inferior prospects, such as high oxygen evolution over-potential, high weight,and Pb may resolve in the electrolyte demaging the properties of the pruduct. In order to solve these problems, some reaserchers focus on changing surface structure and properties, othershowever, focus on making new electrode,such as PbO2 and MnO2. Reaserches on changing surface increase the electro-catalytic activity and lower the cell voltage, but the inferiorities of Pb itself has not changed. Meanwhile, studies on PbO2 electrode mostly about Ti substrate, such electrode has low the oxygen evolution over-potential, but short life, high cost is not changed. Thus, new types of electrode used in zincmetallurgy industray in urgently need to be studied.Based on such problems, the essay studied on the new substrate:Al substrate. By using pluse plating technology, Al/Pb-WC-CeO2 and Al/a-PbO2/β-PbO2 has been prepared.Al/Pb-WC-CeO2coatings were prepared by pulse technology. The pulse parameters, the deposition conditions, and the influences of particles on the properties of the coatings were studied.By studing the Tafel curves, EIS, polarization curves of oxygen evolution, SEM, EDS,and XRD,properties such as the crystallization, corrosion resistance, catalytic activity, and the composite mechanism hasbeen studied. The coating we prepared obtained superior electrochemical activity, and good combining power.Based on Velichenko theory and CV curves, the mechanism of depositionα-PbO2 andβ-PbO2 has been found. The properties of the middle layerα-PbO2 was comparde with that ofβ-PbO2.And the properties ofβ-PbO2coatings with or withoutα-PbO2 layer as intermediate is rather different. Also, the influence of pulse parameters, F- and rare earth CeO2 as dopants on the properties of the coatings were studied. By Tafel curves, EIS, SEM, XRD, the coating shows superior corrosion resistance, superior electrochemical activity, and good combining power. Finally, we studied about the properties of the two electrolyte in znic plating system. By analysing the cell coltege, work life, current effeciency and electro catalytic avtivity, it has been found that,the properties of these electrodes is much better than that of Pb-Ag alloy.
