Atmospheric pollution caused by the continuous progress of science and technology and the continuous development of industry is more and more serious,which has seriously affected the sustainable development of society and the quality of life of residents.Dust elimination has an important role in the atmospheric pollution control.Electrostatic precipitator has been widely used in various industrial departments and civilian facilities in the smoke-gas treatment.The design ideas of power supply innovates and the performance is optimized and a new generation of electric pulse power came into being,that creates favorable conditions for efficient emissions and energy conservation.At present,China is actively developing or introducing electric dust pulse power technology,setting off the boom of the pulse power supply of electrostatic precipitator,so this paper launched a research on the pulse generator for electrostatic precipitator.Due to the intermittent short pulse power supply,pulse corona discharge mechanism is different from DC electric field.The pulse generator for electrostatic precipitator has many advantages that other high-voltage power supplies can't replace,especially in the inhibition of anti-corona and removing fine particles.The pulse generator can not only efficiently exhaust gas,but also save energy.The commonly used circuit of the pulse generator for electrostatic precipitator(ESP)is studied and analyzed by using PSpice simulation software,and the shortcomings of the circuit are discovered,such as pulse stretching,the remaining voltage accumulation of capacitor and oscillating voltage of ESP.If pulse stretching and oscillating voltage of ESP is serious,they will cause spark discharging which reduces the collection efficiency and be unfavorable to increase the pulse frequency.The remaining voltage accumulation of capacitor will be a serious threat to the stability and reliability of the power supply.In this paper,the corresponding solution is put forward: an auxiliary switch is inversely connected in parallel to the charging diode,and the switch is triggered to turn on after the pulse is formed.The PSpice simulation and low-voltage test verify the correctness of the solution.The high-voltage device of the pulse generator for ESP is made and commissioned after the PSpice simulation and low-voltage test verify the correctness of the solution.The paper puts forward the corresponding solution to the problems encountered in the project,such as the current spurt when the main switch is turned on,the pressure equalization circuit of the main switch,and the shut-off and opening loss of the main switch.Finally the production of the high-voltage device of the pulse generator for ESP is successfully completed.The pulse voltage is 10~50kV,the pulse width is 60~100?s,and the frequency is 50~100Hz.
