Research Of Resource Utilization Of Living Waste In Shanghai City

Along with the quick development of social economic and city population expansion, the living waste of Shanghai city increases year by year, the study for resource utilization of city's living waste had become the critical problem for Shanghai's sanitation, pollution and environment governance. The Prime Minister Mr. Wen Jiabao pointed out in the <Government Report> of Y2010 that:'through hard and long term effort to achieve energy saving and emission reduction, enhance environment protection, actively push the environment governance in key drainage area, achieve waste management ability of 60kt per day'. This shows, the management and resource utilization of city's living waste had become one of the key&difficult issues of the government. At present, the living waste management in Shanghai is sponsored by government's specific finance, central management, overall plan and layout, while the treatment method for living waste are mainly landfill, waste burning, bio-treatment etc.. This article takes the sample of down town Luwan District, through study for resource utilization of living waste in advance countries as USA, Japan etc, and domestic cities, researching the current status of Shanghai's living waste management and resource utilization, try to discuss the possible problems, in order to propose the corresponding countermeasure and advise, and contribute as much as possible for perfecting the study for living waste management and resource utilization in Shanghai.
