The component of electroplating wastewater containing a lot of heavy metals and chelates is complex, and causes serious harm to the health of human beings and the environment. According to the characteristics of electroplating wastewater containing high concentration of copper ions and organic matter from an electronic company in Qingdao, iron-carbon micro electrolysis-flocculating, iron-carbon micro electrolysis-Fenton-flocculating and iron-carbon micro electrolysis-nanometer titanium-photocatalysis-flocculating were applied in the pretreatment of wastewater. The experiments results indicated that the concentration of copper ions in electroplating wastewater decreases from 641.78mg/L to 0.32mg/L and the removal efficiency achieves 99.95% when initial pH value 4, Fe/C (quality) 2/1, the dosage of Fe 60g/L and the reaction time 60min by iron-carbon micro electrolysis -flocculating. Pretreatment accomplished 96.24% of copper ions removal and improved 55.20% of CODCr removal when pH value of micro electrolysis 4, Fe/C (mass) 1/2, the dosage of iron 60g/L, reaction time 60min, pH value of Fenton 6, the dosage of 30%H2O2 12ml/L and pH value of flocculating 9.5 by iron-carbon micro electrolysis-Fenton-flocculating. The removal rations of copper ions reaches 99.98% and CODCr in the effluent water improved 60% when the Fe/C micro electrolysis initial pH value 4, Fe/C mass ratio 1/1, the reaction time 60min, the dosage of iron 60g/L, the nanometer titanium photocatalysis pH value 5, the dosage of nanometer titanium 40ml/L, the time of UV irradiation 60min by iron-carbon micro electrolysis-nanometer titanium photocatalysis-flocculating. After pretreatment, the concentration of copper ions in electroplating wastewater meets the first-grade standard for discharge of water pollutants in Shandong Province Peninsula Basin, the highest removal ratio of CODCr can reach 60%, and the good conditions for following treatment are created.
