Batch process has widely application in many industries such as fine chemical, food and beverage and pharmacy, it has an increasingly important position in modern industry process. As a branch in the field of process automation, batch control is a necessary means of rapid response to market changes, it also represents a kind of advanced production management concept. This paper takes resin production plant as background and introduces the application of PCS7 process control system in fine chemical industry according to ISA-S88 batch control standard.Firstly this paper introduces the phase characteristics, process control characteristics and operating characteristics of resin production. Then this paper analyzes engineer station, automatic station, system network, server system and operator system of PCS7 in detail, and part of PCS7 system design is also illustrated.This paper focuses on software design in resin production process, it discusses content such as the methods of equipment module partition, applications of components of equipment module, characteristics of equipment module action and state and the configuration methods of reactor temperature equipment module, especially it puts forward a kind of batch process interlock model. Besides, this paper introduces the application of SIMATIC BATCH which has batch control function.At last, this paper introduces project implementation about PC screen, batch trends and assement management maintenance station which validates the effectiveness of this control system. and at last it makes a summary about this paper.
