After the casting is formed in the continuous casting machine, it need to be cut in a certain length of segment with a flame cutting machine. After the flame cutting, the surface of the casting will adhesion slag that called slab deburring. It is a kind of oxidized slag with higher hardness. In order to ensure the casting's quality and yield, and also in order to protect the steel rolling's surface will not be damaged, the slab deburring need to be cleared off. Slab deburring machine's role is to clear the burr and satisfy follow-up requirements of the rolling process.Through analysing the equipment's control requirements and combining with the actual production situation, this paper is designed and achieved for some aspects of the slab deburring machine's control system, which are as follows:First, on the basis of analysing the electrical control requirements of the slab deburring machine, controlling the structure of system, designing and achieving for the hardware parts in detail. The electrical system is mainly composed of PLC control, frequency control, hydraulic proportional control valve, control cabinet, the scene detecting element.Secondly, the paper analyzed the deburring machine struture, process flow and the hardware of the system. According to the hydraulic system's "lag" and "overshoot" phenomenon, we are designed the closed loop control system with the displacement sensor, hydraulic proportional valve, PLC controller, a new variable structure PID control algorithm, and establish the mathematical models of all parts. It obtained the overall transfer function with the specific parameters.Using Siemens S7-300 series's PLC user special programming software-STEP7, we design the software part of slab deburring machine. Program is modular in structure, including the deburring process's initialization, manual control, automatic control, alarm and communication, wherein the automatic control procedure use the PID command of PLC to control the position of the deburring tool. PC use Siemens's WinCC monitor configuration software to communicate with the nextbit machine, and monitor the scene deburring equipment.On the slab deburring machine on-site installation and commissioning. Through the system's initial adjustment and joint debug, verified the slab deburring machine electrical control system can meet the production requirements, achieved the set free of deburring roll's height position, improved the system's automation degree.
