Wood-based panel have been used widely and the production increase every year, but most of wood-based panel products generally release formaldehyde, and the testmethods are differences. The dissertation mainly shows the correlation of formaldehydeemission from undecorated fiberboard with MDF(HDF) and surface decorating withimpregnated paper or decorative veneer. The test methods contain desiccator method(40L), and perforation of the extraction method that both methods determinate theformaldehyde emission of laminate flooring and surface decorated wood-based panelswith paper impregnated thermosetting resins, while perforation of the extraction methoddeterminate the formaldehyde emission between decorative veneered MDF andundecorated MDF. This dissertation studies the correlation of formaldehyde emissionwith SPSS to fit the regression equation, and draw the regression curve, and the followingconclusions.(1) For decorative veneered wood-based panel, MDF substrate by the veneer treatmentcan effectively reduce formaldehyde emissions which double-sided is better thansingle-sided. The formaldehyde emission of decorative veneered MDF panel andMDF-based show the linear correlation, one pine-sided veneer y=0.9552x-3.5007(R2=0.9918), both pine-sided veneer y=0.7045x-1.0006(R2=0.9415),one poplar-sided y=0.7737x-1.7832(R2=0.9623); both poplar sided veneer y=0.7922x-5.049(R2=0.8508).(2) For surface decorated wood-based panels with paper impregnated thermosettingresins, MDF with paper impregnated thermosetting resins can reduce the formaldehydeemission that double-sided veneer is better than single-sided veneer while veneer withimpregnated paper and decorative paper effect less. One surface decorated wood-basedpanels with paper impregnated thermosetting resins y=0.0034x4-0.2987x3+9.8725x2-143.89x+782.54(R2=0.4979), double surface decorated wood-based panels with paperimpregnated thermosetting resins y=-0.0124x3+0.8151x2-17.716x+128.66(R2=0.6432); decorative paper veneer y=0.004x3-0.26x2+5.5589x-38.004(R2=0.1377). Formaldehyde emission has little correlation between surface decorated wood-basedpanels with paper impregnated thermosetting resins and base material.(3) For laminate flooring, formaldehyde emission have high fit between undecoratedHDF and laminate flooring, and there is a significant correlation y=0.0007x3-0.0139x2+0.1054x+0.3087(R2=0.9599).
