| Objective:To evaluate the ability of speckle tracking imagimg tissue mitral annular displacement in assessment of essential hypertension patient's left ventricular systolic function through determination of the mitral annular displacement(MAD).Methods:There were 42 healthy subjects,82 cases of essential hypertension patients,(18 cases with normal left ventricular,21 cases with concentric remodeling,23 cases with concentric hypertrophy and 20 cases with eccentric hypertrophy). the systolic MAD was determined by tissue mitral annular displacement and M-mode echocardiography,The apical four-chamber, two-chamber and LV apical long axis view were used to determine the MAD of 6 sites. LVEF of all patients was determined by 2D echocardiography using Simpson's rule. Each of these values was even measured three times and take the average number. Results:In all patients, mean MAD measured by speckle tracking imagimg tissue mitral annular displacement from 6 sites of the mitral annular correlated closely with MAD determined by M-mode, and also the average MAD had a significant correlation with LVEF, compared that in control group, concentric remodeling group, concentric hypertrophy groupand the eccentric hypertrophy group was declined one by one (P<0.05).there was no significant correlation between normal left ventricular and normal controls. (P>0.05).Conclusions : MAD determned by speckle tracking imagimg tissue mitral annular displacement provides a simple, rapid and noninvasive tool for assessment of global LV systolic funtion. |
