Objective:To explore the clinical significance of changes of serum adiponectin (APN), serum folic acid (FA) and serum vitaminB12 (VB12) levels in patients with chronic alcoholism, observe the relationship of triglyceride(TG), total chrolesterol(TC), fasting blood glucose (FBG), HDL-C, LDL-C. Further explore the relationships of changes between the cerebervascular diseases and their high risk factor in patients with chronic alcoholism. Clinical prophylaxis and treatment the patients for chromic alcoholism, as well as observing the disease process and provide important clinical value.Methods:54 cases of patients were selected, age 37-68 years old, the average age of (48.42±6.39) years, drinking for 5-42 years.they were diagonosed according to the Chinese classification and the diagnostic criteria for mental disorders (CCDM3).43 cases of control group, age 24-59 years old, the average age of (32.60±7.00) years. Serum adiponectin (with EL1SA), Serum folic acid and vitaminB12 levels (with RIA) levels were determined, and fasting blood glucose (FBG), TG, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C were measured in the morning after an overnight.Results:(1)APN(mg/l):The average adiponectin levels were 2.05±1.10 (mg/l)in the control group and 1.5±0.57(mg/l) in the patient group. Pearson correlation analysis indicated that adiponectin was negatively correlated with fasting blood glucose (FBG).There were no significant correlation with FA, VB12,TG, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C.(2) FA(ng/ml):The average adiponectin levels were 7.33±2.40 (ng/ml)in the control group and 3.66±1.97(ng/ml) in the patient group. Folic acid was negatively correlated with VB12,TG, HDL-C. There were no significant correlation with adiponectin, TC, FBG, LDL-C.(3)VB12(pg/ml):The average adiponectin levels were 403.4±116.17 (pg/ml)in the control group and 497.57±289.57(pg/l) in the patient group. VitaminB12 was negatively correlated with folic acid (FA). VitaminB12 was positively correlated with HDL-C. There were no significant correlation with APN, TC, FBG, LDL-C..Conclusion:(1) Serum adiponectin in chronic alcoholism patients was significantly lower than those in control group.(2) Serum folic acid in chronic alcoholism patients was significantly lower than those in control group.
