Health and longevity that all people hoped are the eternal theme of life science research. Most research suggested that longevity not only associated with genetics and lifestyle, but also closely related with the environment. Therefore, the researches about longevity focus on the relationship between trace elements in the natural environment and longevity.To investigate longevity village in Zhongxiang Hubei Province,we surveyed the geographical distribution of people in longevity village and diets, otherwise, the environmental samples at longevity and non-longevity district were collected and the trace elements in the samples were analyzed. So the cause of longevity can be explored from the correlation between the geographical distribution of trace elements and the geographical distribution of the long life people. The demographic data of people over the age of 80 were analyzed by statistical in Zhongxiang nearly 10 years since 2000 and the trace elements in the drinking well water, crops, soil samples from longevity and non-longevity district were determined by ICP-MS and ICP-AES.The results showed that firstly, there are 84 centenarians in which female are 64 and male are 20 and 78 people live in rural areas.The oldest people in female is 108 years old and also the oldest people in male is 104 years old.About 56 centenarians,66.7%in total,are healthier and could take care of themselves,otherwise,about 28 centenarians,33.3%in total,are unhealthier and need help. According to the standard of longevity villages, Yangzi, Fengle, Changshou, Lengshui, Wenji are the longevity villages.Secondly, Long-lived people have regular meals three to four one day, omnivorous food, meat and vegetables; they have a history of drinking alcohol mostly about 125g each meal and like to eat soy products. Thirdly, analysis of trace elements in different samples:in the water V, Cu, Sn, Se, Cr, Sr; grain, Zn, Mn, Fe, Se, Mo, V, Sr;soil, Zn, Fe, Mn there were significant differences among regions in longevity and non-longevity district. Based on these results, we determined:the Zhongxiang is longevity and the level of longevity is higher than others. Zhongxiang proportions of women longevity have longer life than men in the crowds. People live longer with more health science diet habits. The Zhongxiang population of longevity geographically is uneven distribution. Longevity was a certain connection block distribution, the centenarians mainly along the upper reaches of Hanjiang River within Zhongxiang plain and hilly areas leading to the mountains Dahongshan area. According to the study results suggest that people who live longer inhabited Zhongxiang there may be a superior spectrum of trace elements-Zn, Mn, Fe, Se, Mo, V, Sr, Sn.
