| This study is a research on job burnout of bus drivers, using self-designed questionnaire to realize the situation of the burnout. Furthermore, burnout of bus drivers is investigated and analyzed on gender, marriage, operation and drive ages. This article provides more data for study on burnout on different occupations, and a new approach for preventing and improving mental health of bus drivers. The results of this study indicate that cases as follows:(1) Self-designed scale of burnout on bus divers includes 3 sub-scales:emotional exhaustion scale, cynicism scale and reduced personal accomplishment scale. The scale is up to the psychometric standards.(2) The burnout of bus drivers is not very high, individual differences existing at the same time. Scores of 3 factors orderly are emotional exhaustion, cynicism and reduced personal accomplishment.(3) There are no significant differences on gender in emotional exhaustion. Scores of female bus drivers are significantly higher than male bus drivers on cynicism. Scores of female bus drivers are significantly lower than male bus drivers on reduced personal accomplishment.(4) Scores of married bus drivers are significantly higher than unmarried bus drivers on cynicism. There are no significant differences on the other two factors.(5) Scores of no ticketing bus drivers are significantly higher than ticketing bus drivers on emotional exhaustion. There are no significant differences on the other two factors.(6) Emotional exhaustion is increasing with driving age. Cynicism is decreasing with driving age. Reduced personal accomplishment is developing steadily with driving age. There are no significant differences on three factors in driving age. |
