Objective: Through the determination of 50 cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in the serum of selenium, chromium, vitamin E, vitamin B6 content and assess T2DM patients serum the four types of trace element and vitamin changes.Explore relationships between various indicators and fasting plasma glucose (FBG),Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) and diabetic complications.Methods: Select the already diagnosed T2DM patients 50 cases,in morning blood collected on determination of serum selenium, chromium, vitamin E, vitamin B6 levels and compare with healthy human level.Record patients last FBG, HbA1c and DM complications. Compare relationships between the trace element, vitamin and FBG, HbA1c and T2DM chronic complications.Results:1. The mean of 50 patients'serum selenium 119.12±32.84 ug/L,chromium 13.36±22.66μg/L,vitamin E 1209.37±499.01 nmol/L,vitamin B6 489.08±172.20 ng/L obviously lower than healthy levels serum selenium 210.05±49.57 ug/L,chromium 80.9±28.5μg/L,vitamin E 2321.75 nmol/L,vitamin B6 >924.56 ng/L.2. Serum selenium, chromium, vitamin E and vitamin B6 levels have not obvious relationships with FBG (P > 0.05), and have not relationships with HbA1c also (P > 0.05).3. The means of the group with DM complications serum selenium 116.68±30.41 ug/L,chromium 8.61±7.61μg/L, vitamin B6 482.42±162.56 ng/L lower than the means of the group without DM complications serum selenium 123.11±36.98 ug/L,chromium 22.26±36.04μg/L, vitamin B6 499.59±190.56 ng/L,the mean of the group with DM complications vitamin E 1215.25±504.19 nmol/L higher than the mean of the group without DM complations vitamin E 1199.78±504.01 nmol/L.Serum selenium, vitamin E, vitamin B6 level of DM complications group are not significantly different with no DM complications group(P>0.05).Conclusions:1. T2DM patients serum selenium, chromium, vitamin E, vitamin B6 level significantly lower than healthy person'. T2DM patients exist internal trace elements and vitamins metabolic disorders.2. We have not yet found serum selenium,chromium,vitamin E,vitamin B6 have relationships with FBG, HbA1c and T2DM complications.
