| Objectives: To summarize the ways of pancreaticoenteric anastomosis in the pancreatic operation. To study the safety and feasibility of a new operative procedure called end-to-end invagination pancreaticojejunostomy with continuous suture in pancreatic surgery used to prevent anastomotic leakage following pancreatico- jejunostomy. .Methods: Sixty-four patients receiving pancreaticoduodenectomy between 2005 March and 2010 November were reviewed. The types of pancreaticojejunostomy included pancreaticojejunal end-to-end anastomosis with discontinous surture and continous surture. The incidence of pancreatic leakage and other clinical data like operating time, blood loss volume, bilirubin level and mortality were compared. Results :The overall incidence of pancreatic leakage was 15.6%. The leakage rate following end-to-end invagination panreaticojejunostomy with continous absorbable surture was significantly lower than those of discontinous surture (0 vs 27%, P<0.01)Conclusions: The procedure of continuous end-to-end pancreaticojejunostomy with absorbable suture has a definite effect to avoid anastomotic leakage following panreaticojejunostomy and would be worthy of being recommended. |
