| Objective:To investigate oxidative stress injury of sperm by the centrifugal process and the protection of L-carnitine.Methods:WHO standard semen into oligoasthenozoospermia sperm and normal sperm groups; each semen sample were subdivided into three group:control group which was only pured EBSS(group 1), centrifugal control group(group 2), centrifugal and L-carnitine group(group 3). Each treated sperm was detected with reactive oxygen species(ROS) and malondialdehyde(MDA) concentration. Then we did the analysis of variance of randomized block design and multiple comparison. This research was be divided for oligoasthenozoospermia sperm part and normal sperm part.Result:Both in oligoasthenozoospermia sperm and normal sperm, ROS and MDA levels of group 2 were significantly increased than group 1;in oligoasthenozoospermia sperm, ROS and MDA levels of group 3 were significantly lower than group 2, other difference was not statistically significant. Conclusion:The sperm in the centrifugal processing Excessive ROS will be produced and peroxidative damage will be caused for the sperm during the centrifugal process; adding L-carnitine in vitro can reduce the peroxidative damage of oligoasthenozoospermia sperm but normal sperm. |
