This paper mainly investigated the parallel clause complex sentences which are guided by "the left X " clauses and "the right X " clauses in modern Chinese. We try to reveal the cause of word order rules, and constitute. On this basis, we compare the arranged in the order of the sentence and the basis of forming in similar complex sentences in Chinese and English. This paper consists of seven chapters. Introduction is the first chapter. The research project, the research methods, the research situation and the brief description of the language materials are mainly introduced in the preface. In the second chapter, the Chinese language corpus statistics is introduced. We get the conclusion that most of "the left X "clauses are in the previous of the parallel complex sentence and "the right X " clauses in the back. We interpret the six reasons in chapter Three. There are the cogitation of advocating the left or advocating the right, the viewing angle of main view or observed in the opposite side, the influence of locale, the constraints of physiological mechanisms, the objects are described themselves and the geographical environment. We mainly introduce the English language materials in the fourth chapter. And we get the conclusion that most of "the right X "clauses are in the previous of the parallel complex sentence and "the left X " clauses in the back in English. In the fifth chapter we give some reasons to explain the phenomenon. There are Western religion, geographic location and Western superstition. In sixth chapter, we discuss the general comparison in English and Chinese Studies. Finally, we summarize this paper in the conclusion of the main conclusions drawn. At the same time, we point out the inadequacies of this article.
