Research On The Adverb System In Zu Tang Ji

Zu Tang Ji was written in the tenth years of Southen Tang Bao Da years (about A.D. 952). It is the earliest Zen historical date sylloge of our country. It is the first-hand corpus to study the oral Chinese in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasty. It is also of great significance for the study of early Chinese Zen history. Academic circles to the research of Zu Tang Ji have done a lot of work and made great achievements in the sorting of folk characters, explaining of words, documents collation , annotating comments, and textual research of historical facts and so on. But it is still relatively weak for the grammar study of Zu Tang Ji.It will help deepen our research on modern Chinese adverb cognition to research the adverbs in Zu Tang Ji.In the introduction part,this paper first introduced the basic situation and research survey of Zu Tang Ji, significance and method of this topic research. In introductory remarks part, then we elaborated word category of Chinese adverbs and the determination standard of adverbs.In the theory part, we have done exhausting investigation about the use and distribution of adverbs in Zu Tang Ji. According to the nature and scope of the adverbs alleged , the adverbs in Zu Tang Ji is divided into time adverbs, similar adverbs, overall adverbs, limit adverbs, statistical adverbs, degree adverbs, frequency adverbs, accumulative adverbs, modal adverbs, way adverbs, negative adverbs, pray adverbs, correlation adverbs, a total of thirteen kinds. There is a detailed description to each of them, demonstrating the microscopic and the basic feature of adverbs in Zu Tang Ji. On the basis of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis method, we will describe, analysis, compare and research the meaning and usage of adverbs in Zu Tang Ji. The adverbs in Zu Tang Ji is a relatively complete system, either from the quantity or from including types on look. While is on the synchronic description, we have analysed the grammatical function characteristics and the semantic direction of adverbs, and investigated the origin, development and diachronic evolution of part adverbs.It is the conclusion for final part. On the basis of the synchronic description and the Diachronic investigation, combined with semantics, pragmatics and grammar , we further analysis the adverbs in Zu Tang Ji. We grasp the general features of adverbs in Zu Tang Ji from macro: such as the double syllable adverbs have already been obvious, more synonymous polymerization, many other synonyms used in conjunction, and so on. The adverbs in Zu Tang Ji is a stable and continuous development of the vocabulary system.
