Self-consciousness is the core power of integrating, unifying different parts of personality, and it is also the index of measuring level of personal maturity. Adolescence is a critical period for the development of personality, therefore, Self-consciousness as the core of personality has a rapid development. During the course of growing up, factors of family influence can not be ignored, marital relationship and parent-child relationship, as the most important family relationships, have inevitable impact on adolescent personality development of children. The development of self-consciousness is not only the key to the development of personality, its level of development also has a close relationship with the behavior and mental health of young people, yet the previous studies did not show the impact of parent-child relationship and awareness of parental marriage confliction on self-consciousness.This dissertation based on experiments about research on junior high school students, subject investigated are 506 students of all grades extracted form two junior middle schools in Harbin, parent-child relationship, awareness of parental marriage confliction, situation and factors of self-consciousness are studied, correlation analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis are used to discuss the relationships among them, this paper focus on the impact of parent-child relationship and awareness of parental marriage confliction on self-consciousness.Conclusions are as follows:(1) Among junior middle school students, the mother-child relationships are better than the father-child relationships on the whole.A discrepancy emerged in mother-child relationships when gender and grades of the students are taken into consideration.(2) There is a significant difference in parent-child relationships when the education level of the parents differs.(3) The feature of junior middle school students'awareness of parental marriage confliction is that they are sensitive to the intensity frequency and threatening level of it, especially for girls.(4) Differences are obvious in the level of self-consciousness development for junior middle school students when there are differences in gender grade and parental marriage situation, growing up in urban or rural also contribute to the difference.(5) Significant negative correlation exists between parent-child relationship and awareness of parental marriage confliction while there is positive correlation between parent-child relationship and self-consciousness.(6) To junior middle school students, awareness of parental marriage confliction is a negative predictor to self-consciousness, meanwhile, parent-child relationship is a positive one.
