| Based on Emotional Security theory and Attachment theory, this study aims to develop questionnaires to measure the perceived inter-parental relationship, parent-child relationship and survival security, understand the general characteristics of inter-parental relationship and parent-child relationship, and explore the relationship between perceived inter-parental relationship, parent-child relationship and security.In study1and2, Perceived Inter-Parental Relationship Questionnaire, Perceived Parent-Child Relationship Questionnaire and Survival Security Questionnaire were developed based on literature review and interview.In study3and4, the structures and characteristics of college students’perceived inter-parental relationship and parent-child relationship, and their relation with security were investigated by questionnaires developed in study1and2.The main findings in all the four studies are as follows:(1) The Perceived Inter-Parental Relationship Questionnaire was developed with high reliability and validity and could be divided into three dimensions, perceived negative inter-parental relationship, perceived positive inter-parental relationship and perceived hopelessness on inter-parental relationship.(2) The Perceived Parent-Child Relationship Questionnaire was developed and it is single dimensioned with high reliability and validity. It has two versions, mother version and father version.(3) The Survival Security Questionnaire was developed with high reliability and validity, and it is single dimensioned.(4) The perceived inter-parental relationship has three styles, the inter-parental best style, moderate style and worst style. The perceived parent-child relationship has four styles, the parent-child best style, and the worst style, conflict style â… and conflict style â…¡. The comprehensive inter-parental relationship and parent-child relationship has four styles, the comprehensive best style, worst style, disengaged style and conflict style. Different styles have significant differences on security.(5) The father-child relationship and mother-child relationship served as partial mediators in the relation between perceived inter-parental relationship and security. |
