The Relationships Among Personality, Chinese Humorous Style Self Harmonious Of Undergraduates

This research conducted a survey of college students'personality, humor style and the situation of self-harmony as well as the relationship between the three. And it aimed to enrich the contents of these aspects and to extend the theory and data support for college educators.This research randomly extracted 500 students with the class as the unit from Hebei Normal University, Hebei University of Economics and Business, Hebei University of Science and Technology and Huihua college of Hebei Normal University. It analyzed the situation and characteristics of college students'personality, Chinese humor style and self-harmony along with the relations between the three according to the CCSPS, Humor Style Scale and Self Consistency and Congruence Scale (SCCS).Major results hereinafter:1. The personality of college students have remarkable relations on different dimensions with many factors, such as grade, major, sex, domicile place and the only child.2. humor style has obvious relations with grade, major, sex and domicile place, but it has no significant correlation with the only child.3. Self-harmony has no significant differences in grade and domicile place, but significant in major, sex and the only child, of which differences are remarkable between self-rigidity and major, sex and the only child. The result shows that students of major in arts and science and technology got higher scores than the ones major in liberal arts, that boys higher than girls, the only child higher than the only-child children.4. The total points of self-harmony, having obvious negative correlation with four factors, including active, affective, amiable and tenacious, have remarkable positive correlation with altruistic factors and have no relation with out-going factor.5. The total points of self-harmony, having obvious negative correlation with affinity-type and self-improvement in humor style, have positive correlation with the type of ridicule and self-disparagement.6. Humor style plays a partial medium role in personality and self-harmony.
