| Gene technology is considered as one kind of frontier science and technology due to its unique relationship with human being. Present gene technology intersects with and mutually benefits other disciplines, which promotes its development as well as the development of subjects related to it. The common development of gene technology and other subjects depends on the communication and collaboration between scientists, institutions and countries which plays a vital role in the development of gene technology. China has achieved a rapid development in the field of gene technology, especially in its basic technology and experiment. In order to promote the rapid development of gene technology, this thesis applies a method of scientific metrology to carry out a quantitative analysis of scientific collaboration in the field of gene technology, which reveals the laws of science activities in the field of gene technology. the research on scientific collaboration in the field of gene retrieves our search the required data samples and build the database used in this program with a large database in the America Institute ofScientific Information (SCI)as data retrieval source to and"Topic = (gene) AND Address = (Peoples R China)"as the search command. Metrology methods is used to study the scientific collaboration, revealing scientific collaboration between scientists, between institutions and between countries and exploring the laws of scientific collaboration in the field of gene research.To carry out a comprehensive study and analysis of scientific collaboration in the field of gene- technology, metrology methods used to make a sub-level research. The scale of scientific collaboration is being enlarged as tome goes. The numbers of the collaboration team increases from2-5 persons to 6 persons. Especially in recent years, the research output capacity of research team with 10 scientists is increasing, indicating that the larger team has been widely recognized in the field of genetic science.Research fruit by more research institutions is increasing as time goes. Though scientific collaboration is more powerful, the smallest team is also the main theme due to other incontinences in the perspective of geography, culture, and academe and inter-agency collaboration is also the leading form. Meanwhile, we select countries with more collaborations with china, use large-scale data processing software Histcite to do data, and build a collaboration network-centric map of those countries with pajek software which shows the situation international collaboration at the macro level. |
