Southern Vietnam, Learning Chinese And The Voice Of The Common Mistakes Of Teaching Strategies

The main point discussed in this thesis focused on the common mistakes made by southern Vietnamese when they learn Chinese Pinyin. Some research have been done in order to get an understanding of the current situation about what kind of mistakes they usually make in the process of both Pinyin learning and their mother tongue learning, then compare them and analyse. It mainly shows on three aspects:initials, finals and tones. To Vietnamese, Chinese is not an unfamiliar language since it has existed in their country for more than one thousand years. Till now,with the development of economy and the relations between China and Vietnam develop, in Vietnam Chinese has become a fashionable language and a "Chinese craze" appeared. A lot of people try hard to learn Chinese.There are also numerous scholars participate in activities studying Chinese. These activities vary in forms, such as grammar, phonetics, history, geography, culture, Chinese characters ect. especially on phonetics,just like Putonghua is based on northern accent,Vietnamese is also subjected to northern accent,so a lot of works studying Chinese is written by the sound of northern in Vietnam.The sountern Vietnam is not only differs from north in people's characters, geography, customs, also differs greatly in phonetics, thus, southern people have a lot of difficulties in learning Pinyin, however, never before in history has any research paper or work centered on southern Vietnamese learning Pinyin.Based on research and comparision,this thesis is trying to came up with some suggestions and methods to help Vietnamese conquer difficulties in learning Chinese and help them improve the ability on Pinyin phonetics.Hope it will be helpful for southern Vietnamese to learn Chinese well and wish they can speak fluent and standard Putonghua.
