Jishan Folk Music Research

Jishan County is located in the northern region of Yun Cheng, which is in the southwest of Shanxi. It is bounded on the east by Xin Jiang County which is a national historical and cultural city; on the west by the largest aluminum industrial base----He Jin city; on the north by the mountain in lvliang and the Xiangning; on the south by the Wang Chengji, Wanrong County and Wenxi County. During Yao and Shun period, agricultural ancestors Houji tough people how to farm in the south border, opened the door to the farming civilization. Later, this mountain was called Ji Wang Mountain. The Jishan county name after this mountain was the agricultural birthplace of our nation. Jishan's folk music is diverse and with kinds of styles. However, after the reform and opening up, China's economy achieved a surging growth. On the one hand, the western music culture and pop music pouring in our county, which draws the attention of the Youth; on the other hand, with the development of urbanization, population mobility, personal exchanges and the lost of the folk cultural activities and the sharp declination of the regional dialects, the situation of folk music is becoming perilous. In this paper, the author does a complete investigation into the different categories of Jishan folk music, using the national music, folklore, linguistic knowledge that learned before and the method of filed investigation. In this way, the author could make a personal contribution to the legacy and conservation of the folk music. The first chapter introduces the Jishan ecological and cultural environment then makes a brief summary of the features of Jishan dialect sound, rhyme and tone. The second chapter briefly introduces the situation of Jishan folk music, subsequently presents the category, artistic feature, morphology, content and current situation of Jishan folk music in detail. The third chapter introduces the folk dance of Jishan Huagu, Ge rocker class performances, artistic features and so on. The fourth chapter mainly introduces the Jishan rap----Jishan Qin music morphology, singing the plate, artistic features and so on. The fifth chapter focuses on the spread of Puzhu Opera in Jishan. The following chapter makes a brief introduction of Jishan folk instrument. In the last chapter, the author illustrates the relationship between Jishan dialect and folk music by means of ethnomusicology and the linguistic language.
