Study On The Information Architecture Of Government Portal

Influenced by administration system, the system structure of Chinese government portal is full complexity and hugeness. Comparing with some countries and regions which are developed comparatively in the area of electronic government construction, Chinese government portals appear insufficiency obviously in these areas:simple form, pithy webpage, extrotrusible keystone and strong portal weak function. Although there are some reasons to cause these phenomena, we discover the construction of integrated government portal architecture which main function is government information location and government online service is a highly feasible project. It has obvious active effect in some areas of satisfying the citizens to obtain information and government information provided in time and opening up the scope of online service and advancing efficiency.In this paper the theory of information architecture is imported in the construction of government portal, and the government portal is analyzed as a unified information environment, is planned the inscape of it, and actualize the information architecture by the user requirement to provide gettable and useful information service for the service object of the government portal. The paper expatiates the meaning of information architecture from three sides which including the exoteric, function and action of information architecture. The paper considers that constructing the IA of government portal is immanence demand, necessary approach of using information resource with high efficiency, and core driving of government portal's sustaining development. The goal of constructing IA of government portal is realizing the comprehend of information, order of information organization, abusive user experiment and availability and use of information. At last, analyzing the information architecture of Canada government website, we obtain some elicitation for constructing our countries government portal.
