From the beginning of 1980s, China's private education witnessed its development in the 30 years which gradually expanded in its size and. capacity stepping always ahead of the trend. As the traditional education-oriented province, Sichuan province's private education became the leading giant in this field. Now, a "white war" focusing the competition and penetration over the educational standards, resources and students has emerged in this new era where the secondary colleges, vocational colleges and other independent schools fight with each other for survival. As for TP vocational college, the confrontation means not only the opportunities, but the threats and risks.This thesis is an analysis of TP vocational college's strategy using the theories and knowledge of strategic management. Focusing on the analysistic sequence of strategic management and associating with college's real environment, it has a full and detailed investigation into the sections of inner and outer environmental analysis, advantages and disadvantages and also opportunities and threats, following the process of strategy selection, implementation and evaluation. Finally, an integrated and efficient strategic project will be concluded to detect and amend the errors and defeats.The structure of the thesis lies below:Chapter one is about the background information of TP vocational college. It is a brief introduction of TP vocational college. Further, associating with recent competition environment, it illustrates the opportunities and challenges of the college.Chapter two is the theories and sequences of strategic management. First of all, a brief theoretical scheme of strategic management will be introduced; then, a detail description of the selected theories in this thesis will be listed afterwards. All the efforts contribute to the theoretical and practical support in the following analysis.Chapter three is the analysis of the internal and external environment. As external environment issue to be concerned, PEST and Michael Porter's "five powers" theory will be introduced to investigate and detect the reasons and facts; To evaluate and find the inner conditions and facts, Mckinsey's "7s" theory makes the full anatomy into the body of college; next, SWOT analysis integrates the external and internal analysis and illustrates vividly what kinds of opportunities and threats the college will face and what advantages or disadvantage it really have. This chapter's analytical results directly conduct the orientation and selection of the strategies in the next chapter.Chapter four:the selection and establishment of the strategies. After the analysis in the former chapter, the different levels of strategies are clear enough to be selected. The main task of this chapter is to select and establish the strategies or strategy mix in different levels of TP vocational college.Chapter five is about the implementation of the strategies. The new strategies need to be implemented. This chapter brings some tangible or intangible problems to discuss in the implementations of the strategies which mainly lie in structure, the distribution of resources and leadership.Chapter six is the command and evaluation of the strategies. Command and evaluation is the final step of the whole strategic management. First, it needs a flow chart to display the relationship between each part; second, some standards are essential to selected for check; third, evaluation makes it possible to quantize every standard and measurement. To depict it more scientifically, Balanced Score Card will be introduced to play the role of evaluation. Hopefully, it can bring all of the four parts harmoniously in unity.The author tries to use the theories and structures of strategic management to conclude and acquire the strategies for TP vocational college, and wish it can contribute to the sustainable development and continuous innovation of the college.Subject to the author's ability and experience, errors and mistakes are inevitable in this thesis. So, the author really appreciates the correction and sharing by the teachers.
